Girona Seminar 2018
The next edition of the biannual Girona Seminar series is focusing on the combined efforts of theory and experiment. New in this edition is that there will be held a Young Researchers Symposium, organized by and for PhD students on the day before the main event.

The Girona Seminar 2018 goes in line with the objectives and aims of our
Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (http://iqcc.udg.edu).
It will be held from April 3-6, 2018 in the beautiful city of Girona (Spain),
and has as title: “Predictive Catalysis: Transition-Metal Reactivity by Design”.
We have gender-balanced lists of Plenary speakers:
Polly Arnold, Chris Cramer, Laura Gagliardi, Ben Feringa,
Sharon Hammes-Schiffer, Shunichi Fukuzumi, Christina White and Larry Que
and Keynote speakers:
Julio Lloret, Paola Belanzoni, Leslie Murray, Mi Hee Lim,
Rob Paton, Eva Hevia, Kallol Ray, and Mariola Tortosa.
With this edition we will be fostering young researchers, through
low registration costs, and having Poster Prizes and Talk Awards
for young researchers up to 8 years after PhD. The Poster Prizes
are sponsored by Nature Chemistry!
Moreover, there will be a one-day Young Researchers Symposium
on April 3 at the same location, organized for and by young
researchers (PhD students). Additional awards are handed out
for the YRS.
